ID:   UML 03-18
IP Type:   Licensable Technology
Title:   End-Capped Polymer Chains and Products Thereof
Inventor:   Rudolf Faust
Summary:   The researchers have discovered a method to produce anionic macro-initiators by end-capping the living polymerization of polyisobutylene with one thiophene molecule and subsequent lithiation with n-butyl lithium. These macro-initiators efficiently initiate the anionic polymerization of vinyl and cyclic monomers.
