Title:   Remote High Speed Terahertz Imager
Inventor:   Jason Dickinson
Summary:   The inventors have conceived of a system to scan moving or stationary objects and individuals from relatively far distances. Disclosed herein is a Remote High Speed Terahertz Imager, which utilizes: a terahertz transmitter, a high speed mechanical scanner mechanism, and an ultra-sensitive terahertz receiver (detector). The scanner device consists of a computer controlled, automated two axis assembly. The primary, or fast axis, is a multi-faceted terahertz reflector, which spins continuously and allows the terahertz beam from the laser source to bounce off of the scanner reflector faces, causing the beam to streak horizontally at a high rate of speed. The method uses the co-polarization and cross-polarization signals to optimize image contrast, and is Continuous Wave (CW).
